The 2016 harvest has started!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As it is being common in every vintage, the grape varieties used for the Cava elaboration have been the first ones to be ready and collected at Pares Balta.This year, <strong>the harvest has arrived a little bit earlier than usual due to the\u00a0drought<\/strong>, which\u00a0has affected the plant in\u00a0all its\u00a0vegetative cycle. Indeed, whenever the rain water is insufficient, the plant suffers and the vineyard yield is lower, together with a smaller grape seed.<\/p>\n<p>In spite of these precedents, <strong>we are certainly very hopefull with this new vintage!<\/strong> The grape shows\u00a0excellent sanitary conditions and good levels of sugar and acidity. In addition, the flavours found in the grapes&#8217; skin are expected to be larger than in previous harvests as a consequence of a\u00a0better skin-pulp relation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2016 harvest-time has just arrived at the family fields of Par\u00e9s Balt\u00e0!
