The well known wine cr\u00edtic Eric Asimov <\/strong>has made a selection of the 12 best sparkling wines in the world, excluding Champagne. The only Spanish sparkling wine has been the biodynamic Brut Nature<\/strong> from Par\u00e9s Balt\u00e0, made by the Cusin\u00e9 Family in Pacs del Pened\u00e8s. The sparkling wine Par\u00e9s Balt\u00e0 Brut Nature has been featured on a list published by the North American newspaper \u201cThe New York Times<\/strong>\u201d on the 21st of December 2023, where wine cr\u00edtic Eric Asimov explains his selection of affordable sparkling wines from around the world<\/a> to celebrate the holidays, among them there is only one Spanish sparkling wine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cr\u00edtic when confectioning the list of his 12 favourite sparkling wines, has chosen Cava BRUT NATURE, from Par\u00e9s Balt\u00e0, made with the varieties that form the traditional Pened\u00e8s coupage: Xarel\u00b7lo, Macabeu and Parellada given by the biodynamic agriculture that the winery has applied for many years. The writer defines it as \u201can excellent Cava<\/em><\/strong>\u201d. Asimov highlights the care with which the winery works and descrives the wine as \u201cfresh, lively and dry<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year this renowned wine critic creates a list of sparkling wines to celebrate the holidays. This year he has selected 12 sparkling wines from around the world, excluding champagne due to its elevated price, and affirms “fortunately, nowadays great sparkling wines are made in all the wine regions around the world<\/em> “and adds “that’s why I decided to seek out distinctive sparkling wines that provided satisfying alternatives to Champagne. I found 12 that were exceptional\u2026 from producers who put a lot of care and effort into making magnificent wines.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
